Tami has been embedded in Staffordshire’s live-music scene for nearly 20 years. She began her

career in 2006 as a guitarist, session musician and tutor, before hosting open mic nights and

promoting live-music fundraisers for local causes across Newcastle and Hanley. In 2010, she

became an in-house promoter at The Rigger and has served as its owner-operator for the past 12

years (now a proudly female-owned, femme-led venue). She's been an active member of the Music

Venue Alliance since 2020, campaigning to support and sustain the UK grassroots music scene,

and was the co-founder of Synkronize Music Group. She has worked with artists from grassroots

disruptors to major and international names, and for the past decade has championed local

emerging talent, working closely with colleges and universities to develop the next wave of music-

industry professionals.
